Another fabulous evening art club where I learned how to make the most beautiful window decals. I hope that this might be repeated with a Christmas theme in the coming weeks. 

The crafting was gentle and cathartic and the social aspect of the workshop added to the all round experience.  Area and biscuits were welcome indulgences

Another great session where I completed two Christmas window decals and managed to get them home in one piece   Added a few embellishments once they were dry. Lovely day crafting with lovely people.

A new year and for me a new craft. I am learning to crochet. And Sonia taught me how to take a break when I felt frustrated. 😃😃😃

What a surprise. It’s been ages since we did quilling. And what a beautiful flower we made.

What concentration in the craft room today. We quilled an owl or learned quilling basics depending upon our knowledge level. All over tea and biscuits, music and chat. 

Craft and laugh has been created to give people somewhere to go once a week to set time aside for their craft, or participate in charity recycled bag making sessions  and have some company, with other people similarly crafting.

It is designed to aid wellbeing in terms of taking a break from life, and interracting with others.  Both of which have become more difficult for many after a period where life has been quite tricky.

The sessions are run for all levels.  You are welcome to bring your own project to work on, or you can help make bags for the morsbags project (more can be found here www.morsbags.com)

 It doesn't matter about your crafting skills and experience, craft & laugh is for everybody.  There are plenty of jobs to do, and you don't even need to be able to sew.

Due to the huge popularity of these sessions we have introduced a new Tuesday group, that runs every 2 weeks, as well as our weekly Wednesday morning weekly session. 

Sessions are just £5 to cover basic costs and can be paid in advance through this system,  or by cash or card on the day. You can choose to pay for a bundle of 6 sessions ( half a term) at a time for £25.

It's a relaxed session with no expectations.  If you come and chat and get very little done - that's OK too!

The Wednesday "knit and natter" group has converged, with the closure of the Thames Ditton Branch.  So we now meet up in the Worchester Park shop.  The combined group is getting along nicely with the support of Sonia, keeping us supplied with drinks and biscuits.   So now we have sewing (morse bags), crochet, knitting and quite a few cross stitchers.  A good mix.  And this session, I taught one lady how to crochet - her first time.

Come along and craft.  Bring your own project to work on or help us make bags from recycled fabric for the community.

I like to think of this class as Art Journaling, but for rebels who like to escape the sketchbook, discovering new styles, textures and mediums and expand beyond the pages.

A complete introduction to sewing on a machine. 
We will cover threading, overview of stitches, and basic maintenance. 
There will be lots of time for you to practice and build your confidence before we start our project to make a tote bag. 
Walk away with an envelope cushion and lots of inspiration to use your new skills!

All materials are included in this 3hr workshop, and small group sizes mean you get loads of personal tuition.

Our Sewing Machine Masterclass is run in group workshops, available on a variety of dates and times. 

If you cannot attend the upcoming available dates we have a 'Private' booking option. This is a little misleading! It used to be called a 'flexitime' option and in essence means that if you have a group of 2-7 people you can book a private session at a time to suit you. 

If you would prefer a private session we do also have a 'Private Sewing Class' workshop available which is an individual private lesson and costs £60 for 2hrs.

Sewing Machine Masterclass

I attended an Begineer's class and how to use my sewing machine.It  was great expereince and got exactly what I wanted to learn from this class and feel more confident with my sewing machine.  The teacher was absoluately fantastic to say the least, extremely informative, patient, friendly and made you feel at ease.A lovely  bright and comfortable  venue.

Rachel was such a great teacher, she went through every detail step by step. so it never felt overwhelming. By the end of the session I was surprised at how confident I felt with a sewing machine and  my sewing skills were surprisingly not too bad. I highly recommend this course and will be signing up for more lessons at Craft My Day. 5 stars!

A very intense but enjoyable 3 hours. Excellent tutor who made everyone feel relaxed and encouraged self-confidence. I had never touched a sewing machine before and was therefore amazed at how professional my tote bag looked.

Really enjoyed the class, learned a lot about the how the  machine works and the setting up of the machine. Was happy that we had time to make a bag in the time allowed. 
Nice environment to be in, differing levels of skill among the participants, not all beginners.
