Private Group Workshop 

Get to know your sewing machine at our sewing machine masterclass 
A complete introduction to sewing on a machine. 
We will cover threading, overview of stitches, and basic maintenance. 
There will be lots of time for you to practice and build your confidence before we start our project to make a tote bag. 
Walk away with an envelope cushion and lots of inspiration to use your new skills!

All materials are included in this 3hr workshop, and small group sizes mean you get loads of personal tuition.

Our Sewing Machine Masterclass is run in group workshops, available on a variety of dates and times. 

If you cannot attend the upcoming available dates we have a 'Private' booking option. This is a little misleading! It used to be called a 'flexitime' option and in essence means that if you have a group of 2-7 people you can book a private session at a time to suit you. 

If you would prefer a private session we do also have a 'Private Sewing Class' workshop available which is an individual private lesson and costs £60 for 2hrs.

I attended an Begineer's class and how to use my sewing machine.It  was great expereince and got exactly what I wanted to learn from this class and feel more confident with my sewing machine.  The teacher was absoluately fantastic to say the least, extremely informative, patient, friendly and made you feel at ease.A lovely  bright and comfortable  venue.

Rachel was such a great teacher, she went through every detail step by step. so it never felt overwhelming. By the end of the session I was surprised at how confident I felt with a sewing machine and  my sewing skills were surprisingly not too bad. I highly recommend this course and will be signing up for more lessons at Craft My Day. 5 stars!

I signed up to this class as It was a long time since I used a sewing machine and wanted to start sewing again.  I felt a bit apprehensive at first  l but I need not have worried as Janice put us all at ease and was very helpful if we were stuck at any point.  

We practiced on paper that had patterns such as hearts, and mazes  so that we could become familiar with the sewing machine. We went onto practising on pieces of material before finally taking the plunge to make a tote bag.   Janice guided us through each stage of the process and before  we knew it we had all completed our bags!  I was very proud of what I achieved and know I can go back and start using my sewing machine which has been  sitting at home doing nothing.    

I would highly recommend this class to anyone who is thinking of taking up machine sewing  for the first time or even if they have not done any sewing for a while.

Come along and make a pair of comfy PJ bottoms for yourself or for a loved one! 
This workshop is perfect for beginner's and those wanting an  introduction to  using commercial patterns, you will learn how to construct, finish seams professionally and hem. Lots of tips along the way in a fun and relaxed class.
You will need to buy and bring along fabric of your choice. 
Either 2.4m of 115cm wide, Or 2m of  140cm wide soft breathable fabric (cotton or brushed cotton)
If you want to make a larger size (16+) it is better to get a plain fabric or non-directional print design.
 All other eqipment and materials are included, with tea/coffee and a biscuit or two!

The PJ ( bottoms only) workshop review. Very nice studio with lots of light. Good Janome machine with a variety of stitches. Pleasant teacher. Workshop was extremely basic. I felt that it should have been advertised as a very basic beginners class. For three hours I had expected a more detailed pattern with at least a separate waistband. I finished one hour and fifteen minutes prior to the end of the class. I would have finished earlier if an overlocker had been made available. Used a stich (similar to an overlocker) which gave a good finish on the sewing machine but this was not as quick to use. However I was the only attendee and have been sewing for 18 months. A good class if you have none or little experience of sewing.  A cloth copy of the two piece pattern used to make the Pajama bottoms  was given to me as I asked but I was told that normally this doesn’t happen.
