Craft My Day Ltd

New to mosaics, then this is the Workshop for you.
In this half day workshop you will learn how to cut, stick and grout mosaic tiles and leave for home with your own handmade mosaic.
You can choose from a variety of shapes to mosaic including  squares, stars, birds, animals, hearts, circles and decorate them with beautiful glass, mirror and china. 

 Led by Tina from Swallow Mosaics, the workshop is completely hands-on with help and demonstrations through-out.

​All materials, equipment and instructions will be provided, just bring along your creativity.

Tiffany was fantastic, we had no previous mosaic experience, she made it easy and fun. We were delighted with our tiles.  Everything was supplied, the room is nice and bright. A great afternoon.

The tutor showed us lots of lovely examples of her work, there was plenty of choice on what to do in the class.  I did a butterfly.  She explained things very well and what a selection of bits to decorate with.
Class could hve done with being slightly longer as i just finished on time but 2 of the other ladies didn't.  perhaps another 1/2hour
All in all a great morning

First did in September, and wasn't disappointed with 2nd workshop, had another brilliant time.  Instructions were clear and easy to follow, and help was always on hand. Thank you very much

I have really enjoyed the 3 sessions I have had making mosaics with Tina. She’s really knowledgeable , encouraging and creates a 
warm and friendly atmosphere in the classroom. I feel I’m making real progress but would love to have an extra session devoted to learning how to grout properly as we never have enough time to cover this in class. 

Another fantastic mosaic workshop with Tina! Will definitely sign up for more though very interested in a series of classes where I could work on a big piece over time and properly learn associated skills like grouting.

My second mosaic workshop was most enjoyable and I was delighted with my completed seahorse.   Many thanks to Tina for sharing her knowledge and for creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for the course.  A very relaxing and worthwhile way to spend a morning. Thank you so much for a great session. Booked this as a gift for my friend for her birthday. Neither of us had ever done any mosaic classes before but the training and instruction was really helpful. We both really enjoyed it and love our final pieces. The only thing that would have been better was a bit more time… the class is 3hrs but 3.5hrs would have been better as I felt a bit rushed for time at the end. We spent a lot of time at the beginning learning how to cut the glass. Also a very small point but the website said light refreshments including biscuits, which would have been lovely but we didn’t get any.

Another brilliant morning at Craft My Day in Thames Ditton. 
We all attacked the sewing machines either making bags or quilted coasters. Michelle explained the basic principle of free motion embroidery. (I feel another workshop coming on!)
A friendly cheerful way to spend a couple of hours of ‘me time’.  Roll on next week!

Another lovely morning. Plenty of chatter and laughter (Class lives up to its name!)  This time I recycled a cushion cover into a zipped bag for Boomerang Bags. A win win! Lots of advice available if you want it but all very relaxed. A lovely bit of ‘me’ time.

Another lovely friendly morning. A variety of projects - someone using the large tables to cut out a dress. Others crocheting, hand sewing and knitting. I continued on my crown project with assistance from the lovely Micky who will hopefully be joining us in the future.

Another fun morning- and I have started crocheting again after about 4 years. All crafts welcome!!


We always have a lovely time! Sonia makes a lovely cup of tea, and has been happy to help me out with lots of advice, tips, and equipment when I bite off more than I can chew with my craft projects. 
We're even planning a group project together, which is very exciting. 

And we’re back after the school holidays! Another brilliant morning, plenty of laughter and crafting. Crocheted dinosaurs, knitted baby clothes, hand decorated bags and other crocheted things. Oh and tea and yummy biscuits! What is not to like? Another fabulous evening art club where I learned how to make the most beautiful window decals. I hope that this might be repeated with a Christmas theme in the coming weeks. 

The crafting was gentle and cathartic and the social aspect of the workshop added to the all round experience.  Area and biscuits were welcome indulgences   

Will be back in November. 

Another great session where I completed two Christmas window decals and managed to get them home in one piece   Added a few embellishments once they were dry. Lovely day crafting with lovely people.
