Come along and create your very own one-of-a-kind piece of  jewellery using our selection of beautiful gemstones, including Malachite, Lapis Lazuli and pretty pink Howlite to name just a few!  
Please feel free to also bring along your own precious gemstones which you can also  incorporate into your finished jewellery designs. 

We run small group classes with a maximum of 8 students so that you have lots of personal tuition. During the workshop you shall learn about basic beading techniques, findings and tools. 

Learn design tips, how to use findings and how to create a professional finish. All materials are provided along with refreshments in this fun and relaxing workshop.

Lesson content

Design and make your very own one-of-a-kind piece (or pieces) of  jewellery.

You will be show how to use the different jewellery pliers and cutters.

Learn about all jewellery findings, how to use and manipulate headpins using round nose pliers and a variety of beads to create wire wrapped loops.

How to open and close jump rings and how to attach a clasp.

Get inspiration and design tips in developing your design on the day from our expert tutor.

You will leave with lots of knowledge and a one-of-a-kind finished piece of jewellery which we will put in an organza bag.

I definitely want to do another class however as Mandy had to finish putting the clasp and chain on as we were running out of time and I would like to get to grips with this final bit. Excellent tuition from Andrea.  I have very little experience in crocheting as I’m predominantly left-handed.  Tried both left and right holding the crochet hook eventually deciding on left. Andrea is very patient, friendly and an amazing crocheter herself. I practiced casting on several times and  then went on to do a number of rows… Andrea was on hand when I made numerous mistakes!   Practising at home now and booked another session in April as I’m determined to get better (and faster) at this amazing craft.

We will look at upcycling,  fat quarter projects, inserting  zips, button holes, dressmaking patterns, alterations,  fittings and more!
