Have fun learning how to stitch onto water soluble fabric to create a wonderfully lacey effect. Enjoy the fascinating process as we wash away the fabric to leave your delicate stitching in place.

Experiment using different shades of green to create two holly leaves that can be shaped and become sturdy once dry. 
With this technique you may get carried away and want to create a whole wreath full of them!

Your holly leaves will need max 48 hours to dry completely.

Things to remember:
Please remember to bring a jam jar to help create the curve of the leaves.
Please wrap your jam jar in a layer of cling film on the outside if you want to keep it nice and clean for future use.

Here at 'Craft my Day' we run small group workshops and short courses, in a studio environment.

In this workshop you will learn how to make a fully lined square bottomed make up bag.  
We will cover sewing  zips, fitting a lining, finishing off professionally and include lots of sewing tips. 
You will also be provided with a tutorial sheet to take home.

Our Sewing Machine Masterclass is run in group workshops, available on a variety of dates and times. 

If you cannot attend the upcoming available dates we have a 'Private' booking option. This is a little misleading! It used to be called a 'flexitime' option and in essence means that if you have a group of 2-7 people you can book a private session at a time to suit you. 

If you would prefer a private session we do also have a 'Private Sewing Class' workshop available which is an individual private lesson and costs £60 for 2hrs.

I attended an Begineer's class and how to use my sewing machine.It  was great expereince and got exactly what I wanted to learn from this class and feel more confident with my sewing machine.  The teacher was absoluately fantastic to say the least, extremely informative, patient, friendly and made you feel at ease.A lovely  bright and comfortable  venue.

Rachel was such a great teacher, she went through every detail step by step. so it never felt overwhelming. By the end of the session I was surprised at how confident I felt with a sewing machine and  my sewing skills were surprisingly not too bad. I highly recommend this course and will be signing up for more lessons at Craft My Day. 5 stars!

I signed up to this class as It was a long time since I used a sewing machine and wanted to start sewing again.  I felt a bit apprehensive at first  l but I need not have worried as Janice put us all at ease and was very helpful if we were stuck at any point.  

We practiced on paper that had patterns such as hearts, and mazes  so that we could become familiar with the sewing machine. We went onto practising on pieces of material before finally taking the plunge to make a tote bag.   Janice guided us through each stage of the process and before  we knew it we had all completed our bags!  I was very proud of what I achieved and know I can go back and start using my sewing machine which has been  sitting at home doing nothing.    

I would highly recommend this class to anyone who is thinking of taking up machine sewing  for the first time or even if they have not done any sewing for a while.

The different transformations to the canvas were incredible- I won’t spoil the surprise by telling you what the canvas was subjected to-but it all worked.
