Craft My Day Ltd

Here at 'Craft my Day' we run small group workshops and short courses, in a studio environment. 
The classes are very relaxed and fun, whilst giving you real skills and confidence. 

In this workshop you will learn how to make a fully lined square bottomed make up bag.  
We will cover sewing  zips, fitting a lining, finishing off professionally and include lots of sewing tips. 
You will also be provided with a tutorial sheet to take home.

All materials are included in this workshop. Sewing machines are available for all students, however feel free to bring along your own machine if you wish.

Had a lovely experience making a lined makeup bag with tutor Janice who is very patient and helpful, first showing me the workings of their sewing machines (touch button features compared to  my own standard one at home).  From choosing the fabric, zip colour and step by step instructions from Janice couldn’t believe, for a first attempt,  how well the bag turned out. Had a very enjoyable time and am looking to book further courses in the future.

Macrame is back!! If you are into interior design you only have to look at the high street to see all kinds of this gorgeous textile art and understand why it's having a renaissance.

Macrame is simply knots created with rope to create decorative and also functional pieces of art. It's an addictive craft that shows you instant results in a couple of hours and the best thing about it is that anyone can do it!

Learn how to make a beautiful Macramé Plant Hanger. We will teach you the basic Macramé knotting techniques and give you lots tips. You will take home a fully finished plant hanger! All materials included (but not a plant pot) as well as a help sheet for you to take home so you can re-create the pattern or one of your own designs. 

Please note the plant hangers in class will be made with cream, neutral coloured cord, so as to compliment any colour scheme in your home.

Adult Art Club - Worcester Park

This class is suitable for beginners and intermediates wanting to learn how to design, create and make beautiful nature inspired designs.  
Your tutor will be Mandy from Posey & Pearls  who has many years of experience in jewellery design and teaching. 

**Lesson content**

- Design, make and learn how to construct your very own one-of-a-kind beautiful delicate piece of jewellery.
- Learn about the different types of jewellery wire 
- How to construct various sized drops using wire, and crystals.
- Colour options of gold or silver wire and shades of crystals.
- A choice of neclace and earring components to complete your design.
- A selection of finished pieces will be available on the day for you to take inspiration from in helping with your designs. 
- You will leave with a One-of-a-kind finished product and an organza bag to keep your item safe.

Wire wrapping crystal jewellery 

A great class , learnt a lot about wire wrapping and have a beautiful pair of earrings and lots of new ideas to take away.

My fourth class at Craft My Day and another lovely one! We could make pendants or earrings, choosing from four different types of crystals (mostly very cool rough-cut / raw), plus some other beads, with gold or silver-coloured wire and fittings. The technique is very visually striking, and gives lots of opportunities for personal choice and creativity, but Mandy teaches it so well that I was able to pick it up fairly quickly, so I made quite a few pendants, all of which I loved. I then turned some of the pendants into necklaces with some basic jewellery-making stuff I have at home. I love the pieces and have already had compliments! Mandy gave us lots of info on where to buy materials so we could keep making in future. She's an excellent teacher, and really lovely to talk to, and I'm planning to book more classes with her.

I love, love, loved this class. I thought the technique was going to be really difficult but Mandy explained it all so clearly and now I just need to practise, practise. The class was so much fun too. Afterwards, I went home and ordered the jewellery wire and various crystals and made 5 pendants for my friends (as a practise-run). They were delighted with them. I highly recommend this class.

Never Heard of Powertex? 
This fantastic medium creates amazing effects! 
Come along and try it out for yourself in this Gnome workshop. Create something truly unique and have a lot of fun doing it!

What is Powertex? It’s used in mixed media projects of all kinds from garden fairy houses and figure sculptures to paintings and jewellery. But what exactly is it?
Here’s some things you should know about Powertex:

- It’s Water-based
- It’s Non-toxic
- It’s Environmentally friendly
- A Universal Medium that can be used to sculpt fabric
- A liquid that can be used to harden natural fibres including textiles, paper, card, and leather.
- It can be combined with Stone Art powder to make an air drying clay
- It comes in a variety of colours as well as transparent
- It’s adhesive for use with sand, stone, plaster, wood and metal (for example) in mixed media projects, canvases, sculptures, jewellery making and much more
- It’s a brilliant way to upcycle old fabrics and just about anything else
- It can be used to create weatherproof art such as garden ornaments and signs, glasses and more! Glasses will be hand washable.
All materials and light refreshments are included.

Geliprint Workshop 

Get to know your sewing machine at our sewing machine masterclass 
A complete introduction to sewing on a machine. 
We will cover threading, overview of stitches, and basic maintenance. 
There will be lots of time for you to practice and build your confidence before we start our project to make a tote bag. 
Walk away with an envelope cushion and lots of inspiration to use your new skills!

All materials are included in this 3hr workshop, and small group sizes mean you get loads of personal tuition.

Our Sewing Machine Masterclass is run in group workshops, available on a variety of dates and times. 

If you cannot attend the upcoming available dates we have a 'Private' booking option. This is a little misleading! It used to be called a 'flexitime' option and in essence means that if you have a group of 2-7 people you can book a private session at a time to suit you.

Sewing Machine Masterclass

I attended an Begineer's class and how to use my sewing machine.It  was great expereince and got exactly what I wanted to learn from this class and feel more confident with my sewing machine.  The teacher was absoluately fantastic to say the least, extremely informative, patient, friendly and made you feel at ease.A lovely  bright and comfortable  venue.

Rachel was such a great teacher, she went through every detail step by step. so it never felt overwhelming. By the end of the session I was surprised at how confident I felt with a sewing machine and  my sewing skills were surprisingly not too bad. I highly recommend this course and will be signing up for more lessons at Craft My Day. 5 stars!

An overall very enjoyable experience. The time seemed to wiz by. Learnt about threading a sewing machine, practised all the differenct stitches, sewing in straight lines and how to easily sew a perfect curve. Ended the class making a handy tote bag. Can’t wait to book another class.

Fun and very easy to follow. The instructor explained the basics thoroughly and was incredibly patient while we fumbled around!
