Quilting is a method of stitching layers of material together.
In this 4 week beginners course, we will be undertaking straight line sewing and quilting.
The quilt you will be creating will come together quickly making use of square blocks sewn together in rows and columns. Should you wish to amend the size then this will be possible as well. Any quilting will be done on a domestic sewing machine.
Over a period of 4 weeks, you will learn the various stages of patchwork: Design, Piecing, Construction, Stitching and Bindings.
Please bring 100% cotton fabric to create your patchwork top / front block design.
My suggestion would be to purchase a Fat Quarter bundle (5 different fabrics measuring 18" x 22"; 45cm x 55cm), which is made up of a variety of colours / patterns of fabric.
